"goodbye, see you tomorrow" and "singing"
the journal of Michael Werneburg
twenty-seven years and one million words
When I got to the daycare today, the teacher told me that Kenny had spoken a new phrase. He told her, in Japanese, "goodbye, see you tomorrow".
I can't say I'm surprised. He knows quite a few routine phrases, and can make noises at the same time I do when I'm humming a song. There's this one song by The Undertones that has the line "There goes Norman. Awww, he's strange tonight..."
Ever since Kenny could crawl I've been singing, "Here comes Kenny, Awwww..." He now does the "Awwww" at the same time.
